Hulk's agent has insisted there has been no contact from Chelsea regarding the potential signing of the Porto striker.
Hulk, 25, has long-been linked with a move to Chelsea and that speculation has intensified since manager Andre Villas-Boas made the move from Porto to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
The re-opening of the transfer window has sparked further conjecture the Blues could firm up their reported interest in the Brazil international, although his €100 million buy-out clause is likely to threaten any deal.
Regardless, Hulk's agent, Teodoro Fonseca, told O Jogo: "The player isn't preparing to leave Porto because he is happy at the club. I have not spoken to anybody from Chelsea. Villas-Boas knows the footballer and Porto well.
"Every day I receive calls from agents but the only serious offers we have received were three last season, offering him a better salary than at Porto.
"But Hulk rejected them because of sporting motives. He is not just interested in money but challenges on the pitch. I admit Hulk can't stay at Porto forever. That is football and at the moment the clause in his deal is decisive."
